McKenney Home Lending, LLC is committed to making our website — mckenneyhomelending.com — accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We believe buying a home or refinancing a mortgage should be straightforward for everyone, and the website experience is part of that.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA is the commonly referenced technical standard for accessible websites and is the standard used by the U.S. Department of Justice and most state regulators when evaluating accessibility.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We review our site regularly and address issues as we become aware of them.
What We Do
We build this site with accessibility in mind. Specifically:
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
- Semantic HTML. We use proper heading structure, form labels, and landmark regions so that screen readers and other assistive technologies can understand the page.
- Color contrast. Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Descriptive alt text. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as such.
- Resizable text. Text reflows and remains readable when you zoom in up to 200% in your browser.
- Responsive layout. The site works on screens of all sizes, from phones to desktop displays.
- Plain-language copy. We write in straightforward language and define mortgage jargon when we use it.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Specifically:
- Third-party embeds. Some tools on our site are hosted by third-party providers — for example, the online loan application at my1003app.com, our calendar booking widget, our CRM-hosted forms, and the review widget. The accessibility of those embedded tools is controlled by the respective providers. We advocate with our vendors for accessibility improvements where we identify gaps.
- PDFs and external documents. Some downloadable documents (disclosures, guides) may not yet meet full accessibility standards. If you need an accessible version of any document, contact us and we'll provide one.
- Calculator outputs. Our mortgage calculators present complex numerical information. We're continuing to improve screen-reader support for calculator results.

Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility is a continuous effort. As we redesign, expand, or add new tools to the site, we evaluate them against WCAG 2.1 AA and address identified issues. We welcome feedback — from users with disabilities and from accessibility professionals — that helps us serve more people, more effectively.
